A green crop standing in a field

Solutions

Crop production

Follow crops from prep through harvest with records your team will use again next year.

Crop plans die in files named final_v7. In Khet the plan is the thing people update from the row. Soil notes stay with the block. So does the irrigation run, and the harvest weight logged on the way back to the yard.

In practice

From prep to the last pick

The crop record is the same object all season. Notes accumulate on it instead of starting over each month.

  1. 01

Set the crop on the block

Variety, target dates, and the inputs you expect to use live on the block. Next year you open last year's record instead of guessing.

  2. 02

Log soil and water as you go

Inspection notes and irrigation runs attach to the block on the day they happen. The agronomist does not wait for a Friday upload.

  3. 03

Record the harvest where it happened

Weights, bins, and lot numbers go in from the field. Inventory sees the same lot. Sales cannot ship a bin that was never logged.

  4. 04

Compare this season with the last

Yield and input use sit next to the prior year for that block. You can see the gap before the accountant rebuilds it.

Details

Records people actually reopen

Crop plans

One plan per block or house, with the activities you intend to run. It is editable. It is not a PDF.

Soil and scouting notes

pH, nutrients, and what the scout saw stay with the block. You can pull them when a certifier asks.

Irrigation runs

Log the set, the hours, and the block. Water use is a record, not a memory.

Harvest lots

Weight, grade, and destination attach to the pick. That lot is what inventory and sales use next.

Questions

What people ask before they book

Can one farm run more than one crop on the same tenant?

Yes. Blocks keep their own crop and history. Reporting can split by crop or roll up to the farm.

Do harvest weights have to be typed twice?

No. The weight logged in production is the lot inventory and sales read.

What if our agronomist still wants a spreadsheet?

They can export. The source record stays in Khet, so the export is a copy, not the only copy.
